Abstract: | A integrated process for utilizing the mixed salt crystallizing out from marin bittern for the production of light basic magnesium carbonate with subsequent recovery of sodium sulphate, sodium chloride and potassium chloride has been described. on an average, 100kg. of the mixed salt are found to yield 20kg.of basic magnesium carbonate, 14kg.of sodium sulphate,20kg. of sodium chloride and 13kg. of potassium chloride. the process offers scope for economic production of the on a commercial scale. |
